لا يوجد اورام في الغدة ممكن ان يكون قد حصل فيها التهاب سابقا اذا كان الفراز طبيعي فالاشعة مطمئنة

في الغالب تكون التهاب في الغدة. اذا كان هناك قصور في وظيفة الغدة فيجب اخذ علاج ثايروكسين فقط.

لابد من إجراء فحص طبى وعمل تحاليل وظائف الغده الدرقيه وإذا إستدعى الأمر عمل مسح ذرى على الغده الدرقيه
