اليك معلومات شاملة عن الإكزيما Eczemaهي أحد الأمراض الجلدية المزمنة غير المعدية التي يمكن التعايش معها والتخفيف من مضاعفاتها، وهي تصيب الصغار والكبار على حد سواء. المسببات أسباب الاكزيما غير معروفة، ويحتمل أنها ناتجة عن تفاعل عدة عوامل ذاتية وخارجية، وقد تلعب الوراثة دوراً كبيراً في الاصابة بها، فاصابة أحد الوالدين أو كليهما تزيد من احتمال حدوثها عند الطفل مما يوحي بأن هناك استعداداً وراثياًُ للتحسس المفرط عندما تتوفر الظروف البيئية المؤثرة، وهي كثيرة ويختلف تأثيرها من حالة الى أخرى وغالباً ما يصعب تحديدها بشكل مؤكد وقد يتضح أحياناً بالممارسة اليومية أن الشخص يتحسس لبعض هذه المثيرات إما بتناولها عن طريق الفم أو التعرض لها بالملامسة المباشرة أو بالاستنشاق. الأعراض أشهر أعراص مرض الأكزيما هي جفاف الجلد والحكة، والحكة قد تكون شديدة يتبعها احمرار وطفح جلدي (حبيبات أو تقرحات أو فقاعات). وسائل العلاج لا يوجد علاج فعال للأكزيما، ولكن يمكن السيطرة على أعراضها بالعلاج المناسب، ويمكن التخفيف من تأثيرها على المصاب ومنع مضاعفاتها ريثما تتحسن تلقائياً وبالتدريج مع الوقت. ويتم ترطيب البشرة باستعمال ملطفات أو ملينات دهنية خاصة لا تحوي مواداً مثيرة للتحسس وأبسط هذه الملطفات هو البرافين أو اللانولين ، وهناك أصناف أخرى من الكريمات المرطبة مثل المويسثرل ، أويلاتم، فورميلا ويبوباز ونيوترادرم. وينصح بالابتعاد عن المؤثرات الخارجية التي تثير الحكة وتهيج الحالة مثل الملابس الصوفية، ولذا ينصح باستعمال الملابس القطنية. كما أن المواد الطبية والمعطرة وكذلك المطهرات والمنظفات القوية التي تستعمل لغسيل الملابس قد تكون أيضاً سبباً للاثارة فيجب تجنبها، أما الصابون فينصح بعدم استعماله أثناء تهيج الحالة إذ يمكن الاستعاضة عنه بما يسمى بدائل الصابون مثل المويسثرل والفورملا وصابون أويلاتم (منقول)، ويمكن استخدام مرهم بروتوبيك أو مرهم لوكوويد دهن مرتين يوميا ، وكذلك مضاد للهستامين لا يسبب النعاس مثل بولارامين أو تليفاست أو إكزوفن لمنع الحكة.
