الفحص ضمن الطبيعي و لا داعي للقلق و بالشهر السابع يتم أعاده تقييم مكان المشيمة

في العادة لا نقوم بعمل اي من الفحصين روتينيا أثناء الحمل اللهم الا اذا كانت هناك داعي لذلك فاختبار D-dimer يتم عند اشتباه وجود تجلطات في الأوعية الدموية وتحليل ESR يتم لقياس سرعة ترسب الدم ويكون ذلك عند الاشتباه بوجود التهاب في اي عوض في الجسم

في الشهور الثلاث الاولى من الحمل تنصح الحامل باخذ حبوب الفوليك اسيد 400 ميكروغرام يوميا حيث انها تقلل من احتماليه حدوث تشوهات في الجهاز العصبي لدى الجنين. اما بعد الشهر الثالث فتعطى الحامل حبوب متعدده الفيتامينات وهي ايضا تحتوي على فوليك اسيد وحديد حتى نهايه الشهر التاسع واحيانا يمكنها الاستمرار عليها بعد الولاده واثناء الرضاعه. اما الحديد فهو يعطى فقط اذا كانت تعاني الامل من فقر دم اثناء الحمل.
