Those injections will help the egg to get mature, and can make the time of ovulation easy to know. they have no serious side effects. May I give you an advice: if you go to see a doctor who suggested a treatment, please make sure you get answers to all your related questions , regardless how silly you may think your question is , just ask it, it is your right as a patient to ask questions and get answers, and it is the duty of the doctor to explain in details to the patient all the questions asked. Both medicines may make your period not regular or disappear for a variable period of time. I am sure both medicines are important for you, and their benefits are far more than bringing your period. They make your period disappear because they increase the milk hormone, which affects the production of the hormones from the ovaries. Those hormones are good for your bone and health. I am not sure what birth control methods you use if you need any. However you may use some hormone to have a regular bleeding and gives you the hormones you need, please see a gynaecologist to discuss that. Regards

It is difficult to comment on all the aspects related to fertility problems in such a short reply. I am not sure if you completed all your investigations including a test to confirm that the tubes are open and a test for your husband's semen. The ovulation usually takes place 14 days BEFORE your NEXT period, therefore is your period is reasonably regular and you can tell when it will start next. Count 14 days and that should be a reasonable estimate of the day of ovulation. Remember that the egg lives up to 24 hours and the sperm 3-5 days, therefore I advise you tom have more intercourse around the time of ovulation but also although the month apart from the bleeding days. Please complete your investigations if not all done and see your doctor. Regards
