Before taking such medicine, i think you may have to do some blood tests to check if you are at increased risk of blood clotting, if the results are normal, I dont think you will benifit from this medicine. Regards

One your period is late by few days, you may do a home pregnancy test, it should be sensitive to confirm pregnancy if present. Regards
